Little prince Jamie's waking up. A week and a day since he was brought into this tough, rough, big world. We'll have to make sure we give him the best of everything so that he can face this world, as brave as a knight ! Geez, he's looking around for feeds again ! Must have put on some weight, the way he's gulping down milk by the pints ! My wish : He grows up to be big and strong and healthy, just like his Daddy !

I am home alone, for the first time, with Baby Jamie ! Scary for the first few minutes coz this is the first time. But it's going to be like that back home in London when Ian goes back to work.

Have been making a few phone calls, here and there, to let people know that I am safe and sound after surgery. Still no chance of seeing the video of the surgery yet coz the tape is still about 30 mins till it's finished. A bit gory, ian said, but I would like to see how the obstetrician managed to get JJ out of my tight tummy !

Gotta go ! Baby's wants his feeds now !

Finally the big day came and went. Baby Jamie Ian Jones arrived on 22nd June 2006 at 2.27 pm via Caesarean Section. Weight : 3.146 kg ( 6 lbs 15 ozs, an ounce short of 7 pounds ). He is a big baby for 37 weeks, and if i had carried him further till 40 weeks, he would be a massive 8 or 9 pounder, like what was expected. Born in Southend Hospital, so now officially a Southend boy, just like his daddy. Was registered in the Registry Office, and he was good while he was there. We are both very proud of our little prince, and it makes it all worth it to have a Caesarean ! Managed to be discharged from the hospital 2 days after surgery ( which was good ) coz I wasn't on any painkillers at all after surgery except for the occasioinal Paracetamols ( which I don't even take when it was offered by the nurses ). Pain was tolerable, so I guess I didn't need them.

Right now JJ's on 80 cc feeds every 2.5 to 3 hours. I know he's going to grow up big and strong like his daddy ! Just cannot stop looking at his cute face, and now he's just beside me as I am typing this ! Love him to bits ! Ian's been the greatest Daddy ever ( love him to bits too ) ....Waking up at night to do the feeds and change his nappies ! Only 2 more weeks left before he has to get back to work. Looks like I've got two boys to look after when we get back to London. This is all for now from the Jones ! Will keep this updated again ( when I am free ) !
