25 weeks + 1 day today ! So creepy yet so exciting and real! I saw my stomach move!! I never thought I'd see it move so early, I always thought it was something you tend to see later in pregnancy when your a lot bigger and your skin is really stretched.

Ian felt my tummy move a few times, and his face was worth a million dollars when he saw it. I can still see the look on his face and it warms me just thinking of it. He was so amazed and had a big smile on his face. I'm so glad that he has finally felt what I have all this time.

As of yesterday, I am 24 weeks pregnant! This is quite a milestone as from this point onwards the baby has a chance of surviving outside of the womb (not that I have any intention to test this theory, of course). It is also trespassing into the beginnings of the demeaning part of pregnancy. Yes, I am now reaching hippo status. Me having a bath makes beached whales look attractive and empowered. Walking is starting to have a slight waddle quality to it. Despite all this, I’m actually feeling rather positive about the impending arrival of Baby Jamie Jones.

A baby to hold and to love,
a creature so tiny, so fresh and so new.
There's nothing more important or special
that two loving people could ever do.
Who will the baby look like
will it be a he or a she. ( now we know Jamie is a he )
Part of him, part of her,
a creation that is meant to be.
All we could ever want for our baby
is very simple and very plain
It's to be happy and content in life
and know our love will never wane.

We had a nice walk along Leigh-On-Sea and saw seafood being sold in little beach huts along the seafront. Cockles and winkles and prawns and crabs....But looked too disgusting to try them out so we had a portion of chips instead. Chips with salt and vinegar ! Yummy !

Been feeling the vigorous kicks very often now. Sometimes, JJ does have hhiccups, which explains the jerky movements that comes suddenly when I am asleep. Can't seem to be able to sleep on my back / front anymore. It'll squash Baby JJ, so it's more comfy to sleep on my sides.

We went baby clothes shopping last week and bought some cute tiny little baby clothes. The name of the clothes : Junior J : Maybe it stands for Junior Jones. We bought a dungaree, a baby t-shirt , sleepsuits and bodysuits. We've got some baby socks and mittens from JJ's grandparents already, and also a sleeper thingy for baby to sleep on our bed. He will most probably end up sleeping in a cot tho, as I do not want to squish him with my weight.

Spring starts tomorrow, officially, but it is still as cold as anything here. About JJ : This week white blood cells are under production. Leukocytes (or white blood cells) form our body's defense systems. They help fight infections and diseases. Little one's skin has changed from translucent to become more opaque. Baby's tongue is fully formed . Wake and sleep periods become more consistent. Some research suggests that baby sets their internal clock to match the outside world's even before birth! Your eating and sleeping habits as well levels of light and noise serve as her signals. Cool huh !

Baby JJ was 22 weeks yesterday on Sunday !! Went to a Malaysian restaurant with Ian to have Curry Mee and Beef with Oyster Sauce and Rice. As usual, Ian prdered his favourite Iced Lemon Tea, like he used to in Penang. Baby's been kicking and poking a lot this morning.

Oh yes, one more interesting thingy....Ian read to the Baby last week : The Emperor's new clothes ! Can't see myself doing that ! When he started reading, he had to start again and again, because both of us kept bursting into a giggling and laughing fit !! I still find it very funny and amusing when I thought about it ! That story is in the fairy tales book that his nanny gave us as a Christmas present.

Some old wives' tales that MIGHT be true, but still, it's quite funny when I think about it. If your hands start to get dry and chapped, you will have a boy....My hands are dry, but it is due to the cold weather. If you can't tell you are pregnant from the back, you are having a boy - Geez, I don't think you can tell that anyone is pregnant from the back. The Mayans determined the sex of the baby the mum's age at conception, and the year of conception. If both numbers are even or both are odd, then it's a girl. If one is even and the other is odd, then it's a boy. 25 and 2005 - GIRL ( but we've got a boy !! ). The Mayans are wrong this time ! Muahahahaaaaa !

We have a midwife's appointment tomorrow. Wonder if it is going to be another boring one. Hope not, but looking forward to hear Baby JJ's heartbeat again !

Yay !! A reason for celebration !! Just found out yesterday at the Week 21 Anomaly Scan that we are going to have a BABY BOY in July !! Woooohooooooo ! :o) I am so happy ! We are sooooo very happy ! So, Baby Jamie '' something '' Jones it is then ! Can't wait for our Baby JJ to arrive ! He has been kicking and poking and prodding since last week, and doing it more this morning. He must be quite bored in there ! Maybe he will play football like his Daddy, Grandad Jones, and his Uncle Mark. I know Ian is still very happy and excited about this piece of news !! He went out for a business dinner last night and he had a few drinks to celebrate his Baby Boy ! JNOw, we are just praying that he is a very healthy baby ! Pray for us too !!! Our little Baby JJ !

With my waist official gone, I have been left to decide where the waistband of my clothing should sit. Should it sit where my waist once was? A little lower to accomodate future growth? Or should I pull my elasticated skirt waistband all the way up under my boobs? Oh, the dilemnas that pregnant women face.

For the past little while, it's been too uncomfortable and tight to have my waistband sitting on my waist where it's always been. My increasing girth obviously needs it's space! And I've come to realize that I can't really wear the waistband of my clothing further down on my hips as all my shirts just sit on my hips and the two would not meet.

This reminds me of the time when we were at the shopping mall in Penang, trying out the maternity clothes when the bump wasn't that big yet. Had a big laugh when I tried out the clothes ! Looked soooo ridiculous !! Now it fits sooooo nicely ! Hubby and I were sure that we couldn't get any maternity clothes that fit me here in England.

The 5 RULES OF PREGNANCY !

Found this on a pregnancy bulletin board. I understand that people for the most part have very good intentions but there is something unnerving about a cashier woman calling me " little mommy" everytime I see her in the supermarket. At least I too got the nerve to tell her, '' Hey, please don't call me that again. ''

1. If I wanted your opinion, or advice, I would have asked for it - so shut up.

2. Calling me "mommy", "little mother", "mama", etc. is not permitted. My name is _____.

3. Touch my belly and loose your hand - in fact, I will use it to slap you on the head. Especially if you are a total stranger !! Hands off please !!

4. I am not an exhibit in the petting zoo - do not pet my belly.

5. My hormones can beat up your hormones. So...Stay out of my way !

Hmmm, thinking that we now actually have a baby boy ! Gosh ! I am still very thrilled !! Sometimes, I still walk around in a daze ! Yay ! A little baby boy that we have always wanted ! It's an absolute joy to feel little Jamie moving ! The Sonographer twat better not be wrong about this ! He'd better be right that Jamie is a BOY ! Our Boy- we can say that now, for SURE ! Right now, I am 21 weeks and 5 days into this pregnancy, and loving it ! We are already halfway there, and sometimes, it feels like it just started not too long ago, since we went to Hampton Court !

Before I know it, this little one will make his welcome appearance into this world and I won't be pregnant anymore. Although I can't wait to look into little Jamie's eyes, the thought of no longer being pregnant saddens me a little bit. I've found myself worried a lot. I suppose that's what being a parent is all about though, right? All of a sudden having another life in your hands and fiercely protecting the little one, together with hubby !

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for mewere written in your book
before one of them came to be.

Baby just woke up and is having a nice little wriggle and kick !! Oucccchiesss ! He is missing his Daddy who is at work now ! Daddy's usually back at this time for lunch ! I think he is most happy when he hears his daddy's voice ! I think the best way to describe Baby Jamie's movements = POPPING POPCORNS !! My tummy is getting bigger...or at least my tummy is getting bigger, so I assume little Jamie is growing too....Or maybe it's too much chocolates ! Oh well....I feel like exploding now ! Sooo, gotta go get some sleep !!

I can feel our Baby Jamie moving a lot today, since last night. His in-utero gymnastics and kicking is waking me up !! I need my sleeeeeeep! Before I only got the occasional flutters now when he is awake I can feel him moving about inside especially if he is being bouncy and touches the sides of his bubble. I feel like I am a living bouncy castle sometimes. Even his Daddy can feel him when he puts his hands on my BIG Bursting Belly ! Eeeeeeks ! And Ian feels soooo excited and happy whenever he feels the baby !

Week 21 pregnancy stuff ! This week white blood cells are under production. Leukocytes (or white blood cells) form our body's defense systems. They help fight infections and diseases. Little one's skin has changed from translucent to become more opaque. Baby's tongue is fully formed . If we were able to peek we might catch him practicing giving us a raspberry! Wake and sleep periods become more consistent. Some research suggests that baby sets their internal clock to match the outside world's even before birth! Your eating and sleeping habits as well levels of light and noise serve as her signals. Cool huh ! Baby's length is about 10.51 inches ( 26.7 cm ) and weighs nearly 12.7 ounces ( 360 gms ). I want a big healthy cute chubby baby like his DADDY ! See the picture that I enclosed ! Isn't his Daddy a cute little Baby?? Also a very good one coz he was sooooo quiet, a very good BABY ! Everyone's dreams !

CLUMSINESS !! Apparently its common to feel off balance and clumsy from now on as my centre of gravity continues to shift. Since my brain has definitely been disconnected by my hormones, I occasionally forget the bump is there & misjudge the gaps I can make it through and also the fact that I can't see where my next step is coz' the bump is in my way ! Good job that Baby JJ has lotsa padding around him ! Sometimes, i just bump into door handles and also walking wobbly due to the weight that's in front of me, but the baby's on board so looks like I've got not much choice except to be extra careful ! Blooming Belly is kind of ANNOYING !!!

WHEN A CHILD IS BORN
A ray of hope flitters in the sky
A shiny star lights up way up high
All across the land dawns a brand new morn
This comes to pass when a child is born
A silent wish sails the seven seas
The winds have changed whisperin the trees
And the walls of doubt crumble tossed and torn
This comes to pass when a child is born
A rosy fume settles all around
You’ve got the feel you’re on solid ground
For a spell or two no-one seems forlorn
This comes to pass when a child is born

And all of this happened
Because whe world is waiting
Waiting for one child
Black, white, yellow, no one knows
But a child that would grow up and turn tears to laughter
Hate to love, war to peace
And everyone to everyone’s neighbour
Misery and suffering would be forgotten forever
It’s all a dream and illusion now
It must come true, sometimes soon somehow
All across the land dawns a brand new morn
This comes to pass when a child is born
All across the land dawns a brand new morn
This comes to pass when a child is born
When a child is born

This is Baby JJ, when he was 13 weeks old. See the picture above....That is Baby JJ, waving his hand, saying Hello to the world ! I think he has his Daddy's nose....I hope he does ! When this scan was done, we still couldn't tell whether we are having a Baby Jamie Jones or Ashley Jones. Owwww ! He is sooooo tiny ! Our little Baby !
